Mary Alicia King, Alicia to her friends and colleagues. Born March 5, 1954 to Maxine and Ben King in Marilyn died July 18, 2012 in her home in Novato, California. A graduate of San Gorgonio High School, San Bernardino, California in 1972 and of Phoenix Tech in 1974. Alicia was owner and founder of Kings Gold. Servicing a select number of Dentists in the Sonoma/Marin County area. Survived by her cousins scattered all over the world, her beloved dog Lacy and her darling cat Puddy, two faithful chickens Mrs Swartz and Chuckles, a beautiful garden and many many friends. Alicia could always be counted on to provide a strong willed opinion and a hearty melodic laugh. She possessed a witty dark sense of humor and her memory was legendary. A fiercely independent woman who would rather spend time with her animals then her friends but her friends had better stay close and on call when she needed them. And they did! Her friends surrounded her with love and kindness throughout all the days of her illness. Her caregivers came from near and far, from all parts of her life from the dental world to her agility buddies from lifelong friends from San Diego, close friends from the bay area to cousins form the east, to new and old neighbors from paid staff members to unknown strangers from Hospice with their kind ways. We hope that she knows now how many people she touched in her short 58 years. Alicia fought a courageous eight-year fight with breast cancer. We all hope she is without pain enjoying the aroma of her beautiful roses, running agility courses with her beloved pets while waiting for the new season to start on TV and soaring into the open wings of angels.
